Sausalito People Program

Marin TV features a speaker series from the Sausalito Library. The People Program Series presents various Sausalito residents talking about their work, area of expertise, or adventures and experiences.

Such people include the fashion designer Megan Papay who shares her experiences as co-founder of Freda Salvador, an innovative women’s footwear company based in Sausalito. Others include Sausalito resident David Wronski who talks about life as an ultra long-distance runner. He tells the story of running the entire 168-mile Lake Tahoe Rim Trail in 68 hours without stopping for sleep.

An Interview with filmmakers of "All of me"

Chelis Lopez interviews La Patrona, Guadalupe Gonzalez, Director Arturo González Villaseñor, Director of Photography Antonio Mecalco and Painter Claudio Talavera-Ballon, talking about the film premiere "All of Me" and the exhibition "Mujeres Luz" a painting series inspired by the documentary.

Mexico shares with the US the biggest border between the first and the third world US border. That makes the bridge of thousands of migrants crossing the country mounted on the back of the train “The Beast,” exposed to all the dangers. There, they find the “Patronas,” a group of Mexican women that prepare warm food and water for the migrants riding the train.

Songs for Changing the World

Don't miss this inspiring performance by one of America's finest singer/songwriters, Jon Fromer, at Dominican University. Jon has shared the stage with Maria Callas, Pete Seeger, and Henry Mancini and shared billing with the Beach Boys, John Denver, the Lovin' Spoonful and Phil Ochs. He has also won one national and 18 regional Emmys for his work as a television producer.
